How to make a heart brownie for Valentine’s Day
We share one of our favorite brownie recipes with you. Super juicy and delicious, but the best thing is that it is very easy to make. In the microwave!
Ingredients
- 200 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100 gr wheat flour
- 50 gr cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 100 gr of melted butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 20 g of chopped walnuts (optional)
- Raspberries and icing sugar to decorate
Preparation
- Grease the microwave-safe mold that you are going to use. If you have small heart-shaped molds you can use several. If not, it’s okay, make the brownie in a square or round pan and then you can cut the pieces into heart shapes.
- Melt the butter in the microwave on low heat. Once melted, let it temper. Meanwhile, scramble the eggs with the sugar, without beating too much, just to integrate. Add the vanilla essence, the pinch of salt and the butter and stir until integrated. Now gradually incorporate the flour and cocoa and integrate with a spatula with enveloping movements. When you get a homogeneous mass, it is time to include the nuts (if you wish).
- Pour the batter into the mold and put it in the microwave for two and a half minutes at maximum power. Let stand 30 seconds and reschedule two and a half minutes. That easy! In five and a half minutes you have a delicious brownie.
- Let rest before decorating. Sprinkle with a strainer icing sugar and decorate with some raspberries. Raspberries are a fruit that symbolizes love, and the acid contrast with chocolate (aphrodisiac par excellence) is extremely delicious.

- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups of whipping cream or Chantilly cream
- Berries: strawberries, blueberries, and/or raspberries (3 cups total)
Preparation
- Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla essence, until a smooth and homogeneous texture is achieved. On the other hand, beat the egg whites until stiff with a tablespoon of sugar. Add the butter to the preparation of the yolks and beat. Gradually add the sifted flour and a pinch of salt and mix well with a spatula or with a stick mixer.
- Finally, incorporate the whites until stiff, gently wrap with a spatula until it is integrated without removing the air from the whites.
- Grease and flour the mold and incorporate the mixture. Preheat the oven and bake at 170ºC for approximately 30 minutes (do the toothpick test to know that it is ready).
- To decorate, you must first let the cake cool completely. Then slice it in half. Mount the Chantilly cream by beating it with a tablespoon of sugar. To make it perfect, do it on a glass container that you have previously put in the freezer.
- Add the whipped cream to the first half of the cake with the piping bag. Cover with the other part of the cake. Now decorate the top with the cream. Finish with the red fruits.
Chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate buttercream for Valentine’s Day
Without a doubt, chocolate is the star ingredient of Valentine’s Day. Therefore, if you dare to make cupcakes for your loved one, this recipe may be the ideal one. Chocolate cupcake batter
Ingredients
- 130 grams of butter
- 200 gr of coverture chocolate to melt
- 2 eggs (separated into 2 whites and 2 yolks)
- 60 g white sugar
- 135 gr brown sugar
- 200 grams of flour
- 125ml milk
- 2 teaspoons chemical yeast
- 1 tablespoon vanilla paste
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation
- Melt the chocolate cover in a bain-marie or in the microwave. Beat the whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Mix the flour with the yeast and reserve.
- In another bowl, beat the butter with the two types of sugar until you have a creamy mixture. Once creaminess is achieved, add one yolk and beat, then add the other yolk. Beat until well integrated and once again achieve a homogeneous and creamy mixture. Add the vanilla and beat again.
- To the previous mixture, add the flour already mixed with the yeast, sifting it with a sieve or with a strainer. Do it little by little and with a spatula mix with enveloping movements. Add the milk and continue mixing with the spatula until everything is well integrated. Add the chocolate and mix gently, gradually integrating it into the dough. Add the egg whites until stiff and mix very carefully with the spatula with encircling movements, trying not to remove the air from the whites.
- Put the capsules in the cupcake mold and fill them with the mixture 2/3 of their capacity, so that they can rise without spreading when baking. Bake at 170ºC for about 20 minutes (don’t forget to preheat the oven before). Before removing them, make sure they are ready by inserting a toothpick (if it comes out clean, they are done). Let them cool before decorating.
