If you prepare this recipe for a children’s party, you can sprinkle chocolate shavings of different colors over the chocolate coating. It will give it an original and fun touch. Coconut shavings, on the other hand, will give it a special touch
- 75 gr. butter
- 80 gr. sugar
- 1 egg
- 5 gr. salt
- 200 ml. liquid cream
- 200 gr. flour
- 2 sachets yeast
- 230 gr. warm water
- 300 gr. strength flour
- 20 gr. milk powder
- 200 gr. chocolate fondant
- 40 gr. Margarine
- Mix well the flours, sugar, salt, powdered milk, yeast and if you want, a teaspoon of vanilla powder.
- To the previous mixture add the warm water and the beaten egg and knead for about 8 minutes.
- Once the mixture is kneaded, add the margarine and knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands. If you see that after about 5 minutes it continues to stick a lot to your hands, you can add a little more flour until it stops doing so. It has to be a soft and elastic dough.
- Form a ball and let it rest for about 45 minutes.
- Once the 45 minutes have fermented, knead the ball and stretch it until it is 1 cm thick. Make the shape of the donut with two glasses or with a cookie cutter and let it rest for another 45 minutes on a tray with baking paper.
- When they have risen high enough and have the desired size, fry them in sunflower oil at a medium temperature so that they do not brown too much and are cooked on the inside. You can fry them directly with the baking paper so they don’t lose their shape. Once the paper enters the oil, it peels off on its own.
- Once fried, drain them on absorbent paper and apply the chocolate coating.
- To make the chocolate coating, put the cream in a saucepan and bring to a boil stirring constantly. When it starts to boil, add the chocolate pieces and keep stirring. Once the chocolate is melted, add the butter and stir quickly so that the coverage binds and everything is well mixed.
