DESSERT: Quinoa flan

If you have a sweet tooth, you can also add caramel to the base of the molds.

  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 1/2 liter of liquid cream
  • 100 grams of cooked quinoa
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 spring of vanilla

  1. To start with our quinoa flandessert, first we go with the quinoa: we wash it in a bowl under a stream of cold water to remove the saponin and then we put it to cook. After 15 minutes, when we see that the quinoa is already a transparent color, we remove it from the heat.
  2. Once cooked, we put the milk to boil, we split the vanilla spriginto several pieces and we add it to the milk.
  3. Later, in a large bowl, we beat the eggstogether with the brown sugaruntil it acquires a whitish color.
  4. To this mixture we add the already cooked quinoa, the cream and the milk, and stir until we obtain a homogeneous mass.
  5. Then we pour this mixture into the molds and for them to be done, we put them in the ovenfor about 30 minutes at medium temperature.
  6. When the time has passed, we take them out of the oven and let them cool… and eat. Enjoy!
